Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is a home improvement reality television series on ABC. It was created when producers realized that audiences would much rather see poor people get free houses whose inevitable property taxes they will not be able to afford, instead of seeing fat people get cut with scalpels until they are thin and pretty like they ought to be.
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is hosted by Ty Pennington, who was initially brought along to the taping of the first episode when a P.A. accidentally mistook him for a very large hammer.
