The Cosby Show was a popular and long-running sitcom on NBC. It was the second live-action project by Shows with Cosby in Their Names, Inc. and starred Bill Cosby as Dr. Cliff Huxtable, a physician whose terrible addiction to unusually patterned sweaters and Jell-O pudding pops drove him to kidnap a succession of adorable children and hold them for ransom in his house. Wacky misadventures ensued as the children attempted to escape and the always-befuddled Cosby attempted to stop them.
In the series' memorable 1992 finale, one of the children manages to alert police, who storm the house. Huxtable, blazing away at SWAT team members with an automatic machine gun, dies in a hail of gunfire, prompting his cryptic and much-debated final line: "Theo..."
Recent mathematical breakthroughs have allowed scientists to prove that The Cosby Show is the polar opposite of The Bernie Mac Show.
The theme song of The Cosby Show was "Pudding Time."
